Rajasthan’s political tussle doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon, and if anything, its only getting murkier.
On Monday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot refered to his former deputy as “Nikamma and Nakara”.
Speaking to reporters, he said, “Hum jaante the ki nikamma hai, nakaara hai, kuch kaam nahi kar raha hai, khali logo ko ladva raha hai”.
In response to this scathing attack, Pilot also issued a statement and said that he was saddened by these words.
“I am saddened but not surprised to be at the receiving end of such baseless and vexatious allegations being leveled against me,” Pilot said.
He further added that these attacks are only being done to malign him and to stifle the legitimate concerns that he had raised against the party leadership of the state, “as a member and MLA of INC.”
“This attempt further aims at defaming me and attack my credibility.I am sure more such concocted allegations will be thrown at me to cause aspersions on my public image. But I shall be unfettered and remain firm in my beliefs and convictions,” Pilot added.
