Union Minister Shri Arun Jaitley to felicitate workers jailed during Emergency on 28th June

Senior BJP Leaders Shri Mahesh Chand Sharma, Shri Prathavi Raj Sahani and Shri Meva Ram Arya today said that 25th June has a special significance in the life of all political workers as the day rewinds in the memory, the sacrifices made by the political workers during the Emergency era.

On 25th June, 1974 by proclaiming Emergency the then Congress Government violated the fundamental rights of the citizens and the political workers. Thousands of political workers were jailed making their families suffer.

This day would always inspire political workers to fight for the cause of democracy.

BJP Delhi Pradesh has organized a function on 28th June at Party Office to felicitate the senior workers who were jailed during the Emergency. Union Minister Shri Arun Jaitley shall felicitate the workers in the presence of Shri Prabhat Jha MP, Shri Yogender Chandolia Mayor at a function to be presided by Dr. Nand Kishore Garg MLA.
