How come the ‘Annadata’ became nuisance provider, questions CAIT criticizing Republic day violence
Prominent business leaders from across the country strongly criticized farmer leaders in a video conference organized by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) for the ugly incidents that happened Republic Day on 26 January, in the name of farmers agitation in Delhi. The CAIT wondered as to how it happened that the ‘Annadata’ became a “nuisance creator”. This incident has stigmatized the farmers of the entire country, due to which the head of our proud Nation has bowed down in shame. In this video conference, more than 200 business leaders from 28 states of the country participated, saying that traders and farmers are two sides of the same coin and traders are involved with them in times of both happiness and sorrow of the farmer, but due to this violence orgy in Delhi, the traders are extremely hurt and worried. The trade leaders across Country demanded the Union Government to take strict action against the leaders of farmers and those who were leading the agitation.
CAIT said that the reprobation of our Nation’s Pride, the Red Fort and the subjugation of our glorious Tricolor which is our country’s self-respect and the dignity is highly disgraceful and cannot be accepted under any circumstances. Nothing can be greater than the country’s pride, but by ignoring all these things, the manner in which the farmer leaders have tried to demonstrate their perceived power, it has also defamed the would be disciplined movements for legitimate demands that will happen in the future and it has also raised a question mark on the fundamental right to freedom of expression. CAIT also said that farmer leaders cannot deny their responsibility for all these incidents. Their reasoning that ‘why the police did not fire the bullet’ or ‘it all happened because of the government’s laxity’, is not acceptable by the people of the country. They have to take responsibility for what all that happened in Delhi on 26th January,2021. The national capital was treated in a most heinous manner and no one should be spared.
The trade leaders across Country said that it was the responsibility of the farm leaders to make the movement peaceful. CAIT slammed all the opposition parties for doing politics of bashing the government on this issue and said that no party should do such sporadic politics because this issue is related to the honor and pride of the country, it would have been nice if all these parties would have first identified the culprits and would have demanded severe punishment, but all these parties have lost their basic mindset due to the intoxication of politics. The nation is not going to oblige them at all and they should desist from making political mileage.
The trade leaders involved in the conference praised the central government’s stance on this subject and unprecedented restraint by the Delhi Police, saying that despite having drawn swords, sticks and personal blows and weapons under adverse circumstances, the policemen thought it better to get hurt and not once of using any weapon, it also thwarted the conspiracy of the farm leaders. The citizens of not only Delhi but all over the country, are proud of the Delhi Police.
