In Delhi’s Dwarka, human corpse to be buried in animal crematorium
New Delhi, 30th April: Amid the surge in Covid death toll in the national capital, the administration has been forced to build makeshift funeral pyres, as the city runs out of space to cremate its dead.
So, the administration has been forced to use another facility in Sector 29, which was proposed originally as an animal crematorium, to bury human corpse. The facility was being constructed by the South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
So far, 60 funeral pyres have been built at the facility and more will follow soon as and when needed, said the SDMC mayor.
