Indian Exhibition Industry Association (IEIA) – 4th OPEN SEMINAR @ Hyderabad – 29th & 30th August 2014

The 4th edition of Indian Exhibition Industry Association’s Open Seminar is scheduled to take place at HITEX Exhibition Center, Hyderabad from 29 to 30 August, 2014.

As the only event run by the industry for the industry, it is the premier networking and knowledge platform for the Indian Exhibition sector. All the earlier editions have been extremely successful with participation by industry representatives from India and abroad. In fact the last edition held in New Delhi on 25-26 April, 2013 saw participation by over 300 delegates from 10 countries including Belgium, China, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, USA, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and India. 38 eminent speakers along with 3 Ministers participated in deliberations held over two days to cover 18 topics of interest to the industry. IEIA aims to have a significantly higher number of participants this year by involving more stake holders from India and abroad.

The theme of the Seminar is: “Trade Fair Business: Growth through Enhanced Product Quality”

No one can deny the importance of quality improvement and the association’s efforts during the last one year have precisely been on improving qualitative aspects of our business as is evident from various activities it is currently undertaking, such as: the project of implementing Standards and Codes for the industry, Human Resource development through Training and various other projects in line with its vision statement.

Besides Trade Fair infrastructure development there are also other issues which have an important bearing on the outcome of our shows and growth of our industry. These must also be addressed for our common benefit. Through the proposed theme the idea is to encourage debate and brain-storming in the awareness that there is always room for improvement and, more importantly, of working more efficiently in view of challenges that the industry in India faces, many of which are peculiar to the Indian market.

On behalf of the Association, I’m delighted to extend my most cordial invitation to you to attend the seminar as our special guest and speaker. A number of important sessions are planned during the event ranging from exhibition industry’s engagement with economic activity across sectors, relationship with internet, web media, e-commerce as instruments of growth, scope for improvement, capacity creation and utilization of exhibition venues in India, importance of human resource and skill development for sustained growth of exhibition industry, evaluation and debate on standards and codes for the industry, quality standards of ancillary services, customized solutions for various aspects of trade fair organization and how to put India’s exhibition business path to make it a multi-billion dollar industry.
