Delhi: L-G Anil Baijal to chair DDMA meeting over Covid situation on Thursday

New Delhi, January 26: Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal will chair a meeting with Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on January 27 over the Covid situation in the National capital.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will also be part of the meeting, scheduled to take place on Thursday.

According to ANI sources, amid decline in Covid cases in Delhi in last one week, a decision in regards to lifting of restrictions like weekend curfew and the odd-even system in the market might be taken in the meeting on Thursday.

Last week, all private Offices were given nod by the Delhi government to function with up to 50 per cent attendance.

However, the DDMA advised to stagger office timing, presence and quantum of staff.

In the DDMA order issued last week, it was also clarified that night curfew from 10 PM of Friday till 5 AM of subsequent Monday, on the movement of individuals in NCT of Delhi shall also remain in force till further order.

On Tuesday, according to the state health bulletin, Delhi reported 6,028 positive cases and 31 deaths with the positivity rate going down to 10.55%. The active caseload stood at 42,010.
