New Delhi, January 25: Birla Global University (BGU), Bhubaneshwar has witnessed an upsurge in foreign job opportunities for its students in the placements of the 2021-2022 batch.
Reputable Companies both from India and foreign hired students from BGU With an average annual remuneration of Rs 8.45 lakh per annum and the highest offer of Rs 22 lakh per annum.
MBA students got jobs with an average annual income of Rs 8.45 Lakh. Moreover the highest package given was an astonishing Rs22 Lakh per annum to a Management student belonging from BGU.
The recruiters included major companies in the financial services, FMCG, investment, banking, IT and consultancy sectors.
While the placements has always been great at this prestigious institute, this year’s salient feature was a huge number of overseas placements that took place with several MBA students getting recruited to companies in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar.
Major recruiters during the drive included giants such as Tata AIG, Godrej Properties, ITC, SBI, Reliance Retails, Ad Factors PR, among others.
P.P. Mathur, Vice-chancellor of BGU extended his best wishes to the students and said, “I am delighted to see that BGU has achieved high and quality placements at various big companies such as Tata and Godrej. This has set a high placement record with the overseas placement of Rs 22 lakh in countries like Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE.”
Moreover, placement offers from USA-based companies for their Indian offices were made to undergraduate students of BAJMC, BBA and BCom too.
Vice-chancellor was also of the opinion that the placement records are only getting better and will witness upsurge in future too.
“This year, we have seen that undergraduate classes have also been placed in addition to MBA students. I hope this placement trend will continue and we will get recruiters from even better companies,” he said.
Furthermore, students of journalism and mass communication have also been employed by top-rated media and public relations firms. The students from this trade were offered an average package of Rs 5.4 lakh per year.
