COVID-19: India witnessing a consistent decrease in daily cases in last 14 days

New Delhi, February 3: The Ministry of Health in a press briefing on Thursday said that India is witnessing a consistent decline in daily new COVID-19 cases since the last 14 days.

The Ministry comparing the daily COVID-19 cases from January 21 when the daily cases were 3,47,256 to Today (Thursday) when the daily COVID cases recorded are 1,72,433, said that the daily COVID cases are declined to half since then.

According to the Ministry of Health, India reported a peak of 3,47,254 cases on 21st Jan, which is less than the previous peak of 4,14,188 recorded in the earlier surge in 2021.

Furthermore, the Ministry states that there is a decline in active COVID19 cases reported in the Country; There are 15,33,921 cumulative active cases as of today.

Ministry of health added that home isolation cases or hospital monitored cases are also constantly declining.

The Ministry of Health said, “A continued surge in COVID-19 cases is being observed globally. There are more than 7.35 crore active cases in the world; 31.32 lakh average daily cases have been recorded globally since last one week.”

According to the Ministry of Health 1,72,433 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours & India’s Active caseload currently stands at 15,33,921.
