Priyanka Gandhi launches Congress manifesto for UP assembly polls

Lucknow, February 9: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday in Lucknow launched the Congress manifesto ‘Unnati Vidhan Jan Ghoshna Patra-2022′ for Uttar Pradesh Elections.

On the occasion, Gandhi stated, “All suggestions for the manifesto have been taken from the UP public.”

Gandhi made a set of promises ahead of the Assembly polls which are set to start from February 10.

“Farmers’ loans will be waived off within 10 days of coming to power. Electricity bills will be waived off, COVID-affected families will be given Rs 25,000. We’ll provide 20 lakh govt jobs,” said Priyanka Gandhi.

She added that aid up to Rs 10 lakh will be given for any disease. Cow dung will be bought for Rs 2/kg, which will further be used in vermi-composting.

“Small & medium businesses were more affected, no support came from the government. We’ll develop clusters & support them.” said Priyanka Gandhi on the launch of the Congress manifesto.

Uttar Pradesh elections are all set to begin from tomorrow (February 10) & will be held in 7 phases from February 10-March 7.

The vote counting of 403 UP assembly seats, 117 in Punjab, 70 in Uttarakhand, 60 in Manipur & 40 in Goa will be done on March 10.
