DMRC Chairman Visits Metro Bhawan, Reviews The Progress Of Phase – IV Workers

New Delhi (13/03/2022): Manoj Joshi, Chairman of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India on Saturday visited the Corporate office of Delhi Metro (Metro Bhawan) after assuming charge as its Chairman in December last year. During his visit, he interacted with the senior officials of the Delhi Metro in the presence of Dr. Mangu Singh, Managing Director/DMRC and took stock of the progress of ongoing works on the three priority corridors of Phase-4.
At present, DMRC is undertaking construction work on 65.1 KM of Phase-4 priority corridors which include Janakpuri West to RK Ashram Marg (28.92 KM), Majlis Park to Maujpur (12.55 KM)- which are extensions of the already operational Magenta and Pink Lines respectively and Tughalakabad to Aerocity (23.62 KM) which is being built up as Silver Line, connecting the operational Violet and Airport Lines from the respective ends.
In addition, the Chairman also reviewed Metro Operations & Maintenance activities. At present, DMRC is successfully handling the operations and maintenance of over 390 KM of network comprising of 286 Metro stations including Rapid Metro in Gurugram and Aqua Line in Greater Noida and is ranked amongst one of the world’s largest Metro networks.
