Saurabh Bhardwaj to be the new Vice-chairman of DJB

March 23, New Delhi: The Delhi Government has nominated Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Greater Kailash Saurabh Bhardwaj as the new Vice-chairman of Delhi Jal Board on Tuesday.

Earlier this position was held by party MLA Raghav Chadha, who has now been nominated to Rajya Sabha.

Bhardwaj is also AAP’s national spokesperson and has had administrative experiences in the past.

In 2013, Bharadwaj served as a cabinet minister in Arvind Kejriwal’s first term, managing the transport, environment, food and supplies, election, and general administration portfolios. Following AAP’s election victory in 2015, he was assigned organisational responsibilities and appointed secretary of the party’s Delhi unit. Bharadwaj was assigned the additional role of national spokesperson in 2016.

Delhi Jal Board is currently headed by water minister Satyendar Jain.
