Ahmedabad, 16th April: On 14th April, Venerable Bhikkhu Sanghasena graced and address the grand 131st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar in Ahmedabad. This mega celebration was organised by Women Empowerment Corporation, Ahmedabad.
While addressing the huge gathering, Bhikkhu Sanghasena said Baba Sahab is multi dimensional personality, whose fascinating life story and incredible struggle and inconsiderable achievement can never be compared with any other great person in the history of mankind.
He also paid profound tribute to Baba Sahab for initiating the revival of Buddhism in India. He said, the restoration of Buddhism in his birthplace in India is the restoration of the lost glory of India.
On this occasion of importance, MoU between the MIMC and Women Empowerment Corporation (WEC), Ahmedabad was signed. The two organisations will work together for furthering empowerment of women in Ladakh and Gujarat.
Bhikkhu Sanghasena also presented the prestigious Tri Ratna Award to Dr. Yogesh Maitrak, founder of the Women Empowerment Corporation, Ahmedabad for his remarkable achievement.
The Maha-Karuna Award 2022 also presented to Rajendrapal Gautam, Cabinet Minister, Delhi Government and Dr. Rajesh Dhabre, IRS, Commissioner, Central Bureau of Narcotics, Government of India respectively.
