New Delhi, 23rd April 2022: The New Delhi civic corporations has decided to intensify the ‘anti-encroachment’ drives in several parts of the city, with regard with the demolition drives in Jahangirpuri. While the South Delhi Municipal Corporation has assured that the encroachers will be dealt severely.
The municipal corporations of South and East Delhi have already begun holding regular meetings to identify encroachment areas and conduct anti-encroachment drives in both municipalities.
Delhi BJP President, Adesh Gupta had written to the Municipal Corporations demanding tearing down encroachments by Rohingyas, Bangladeshis, and anti-social elements. The authorities will be ready with the final encroachment locations by Monday.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Mukesh Suryan has stated that no matter the location, the encroachments will be brought down. However, the authorities have stated that the people will be informed about the demolition prior to demolition.
