Amid PM Modi’s visit to J-K, encounter underway in Pulwama

Jammu & Kashmir (24/04/2022): Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on his first major visit to Jammu and Kashmir after the abrogation of Article 370 on Sunday. He inaugurated and laid the foundation of multiple development initiatives worth Rs 20,000 crore in the Union Territory.

Indeed, amid tight security in the valley, armed forces also trapped terrorists in an unidentified location in Pulwama.

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Pahoo area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.

Inspector General of Kashmir, Vijay Kumar said that three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists are trapped in the area.

“An encounter has started in the Pahoo area of Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” the Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet.
