JD(U) leaders from Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu join BJP

Daman, Sept 19th, 2022: More than a dozen JD(U) leaders from Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu joined the saffron party on Sunday as BJP continues to woo members from different parties across India.

Members of the JD(U) party which is led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar joined BJP in the presence of party president, J P Nadda.

This is the third unit of Kumar’s party members who have joined BJP after JD(U) snapped ties with the Modi-led party and formed the Mahagathbandhan government along with the RDJ party of Bihar.

Earlier, JD(U) leaders from the Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur units had also joined BJP.

“16 leaders of JD(U) from the union territories have joined our party on Sunday”, said BJP General Secretary Tarun Chugh.

This is happening at a time, Bihar CM Kumar has been meeting leaders of other parties to form a united front against BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
