Lohia Auto welcomes Uttar Pradesh Government’s New Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022, Expects Sales Growth
New Delhi/UP, 15th October 2022: The Uttar Pradesh Government released a new EV Policy, and electric three-wheeler maker, Lohia Auto has welcomed the move and expects the new policy to boost EV sales in the state.
The announcement of ‘subsidy and the far-sighted initiative’ offering incentive support for all categories of electric vehicles by the Government of Uttar Pradesh is going to become a landmark development in the entire country.

With sops such as 15 percent rebate on the purchase of electric two- and four-wheelers, and e-buses, EVs be exempted from registration and road tax for the first three years, and a 50 percent reduction provided in the fourth and fifth-year of the implementation of the policy would reduce the cost of vehicle ownership. The Uttar Pradesh government’s New Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy, 2022 is aimed at promoting faster adoption of clean mobility solutions and creating a conducive ecosystem for EVs in the state. The policy provides for a three-pronged incentive regime that includes benefits to consumers for purchasing EVs; to manufacturers of EVs, batteries, and related components; and to service providers developing charging/ swapping facilities.
