Poll plank: BJP Promises Uniform Civil Code, women reservation in Himachal

Himachal Pradesh, Nov 6, 2022: BJP chief JP Nadda released the party’s poll manifesto at a public event in Shimla ahead of elections in Himachal Pradesh.

One of their main “commitments” is to implement Uniform Civil Code if they return to power in Himachal Pradesh. The party also promised 8 lakh jobs in a phased manner and 5 new medical colleges in the state.

In a separate manifesto for women, BJP promised 33% reservation for women in government jobs. They also promised cycles to girl students studying in classes 6-12 and scooty to those pursuing higher education.

The BJP Chief expressed that women empowerment is a key issue for the party. Announcing the poll promises, JP Nadda said: “Whatever was promised was delivered, whatever was not promised has also been delivered.”
