Noida, Ghaziabad suffered from power cut for 9 hours
NOIDA/GHAZIABAD : Barely two weeks after Noida and Ghaziabad went without power for more than 10 hours, the two cities faced severe power cuts from Friday night. According to officials, things are unlikely to improve in the next 24 hours as one major power plant — Anpara at Sonbhadra – has tripped, and another — Vishnu Prayag hydel plant in Uttarakhand – is not being able to operate at full capacity because of flooding. Noida and Ghaziabad are now facing a shortfall of 200 to 300 MW.
