ZOHO CEO says that AI would first Impact Software Firms

New Delhi (India), 26th March 2023: Sridhar Vembu the CEO of ZOHO took to Twitter on Sunday to express his views on the impact of artificial intelligence on software firms.

The tweet was Vembhu’s response and take on the most recent post on ‘Gates Notes’. Bill Gates the billionaire businessman and philanthropist, co-founder of Microsoft, periodically expresses his views on different issues and events in the world.

In the most recent edition Gates talked about Artificial intelligence, ChatGPT it’s effect, potential benefits and harm in the world.

In the note Gate’s said, “ On the software side, the algorithms that drive an AI’s learning will get better. There will be certain domains, such as sales, where developers can make AIs extremely accurate by limiting the areas that they work in and giving them a lot of training data that’s specific to those areas.”

He also said that companies and governments must take care and help people divert roles once AI takes over.

The ZOHO CEO’s tweet was a response to this, he wrote, “I agree with Bill Gates. The AI revolution is going to have it’s first big impact on software companies and programming jobs.
We must not assume pure play software companies (like Zoho) are long term viable. We have to reinvent to stay relevant.”

Sridhar Vembu is an Indian billionare and successful corporate magnate. He is the co-founder of AdventNet, founder and CEO of Zoho. Zoho is an Indian MNC that develops web-based business tools and computer software.

Vembhu has continued to comment on the development of AI and the challenges it will put forth. He has commented on how AI would revolutionise desk jobs and how companies and software firms would face obsolescence if they are unable to come up with contemporary ideas and fail to reinvent themselves.
