Microsoft India President Anant Maheshwari named Nasscom Chairperson

New Delhi (India), 26th April 2023: Anant Maheshwari, President of Microsoft India, was named by IT industry association Nasscom as its Chairperson for 2023–2024. The announcement was made on Tuesday, April 25th.

Maheshwari succeeds Krishnan Ramanujam, President of Tata Consultancy Services’ Business and Technology Services, who served as Chairperson for the fiscal year 2022–2023.

Rajesh Nambiar, Chairman and Managing Director of Cognizant India, was also named as the organization’s Vice Chairperson for the years 2023–2024 by the leading association for the software and IT services sector.

The appointment of Anant Maheshwari, President, Microsoft India, as Nasscom’s chairperson for the years 2023–24, was made through a press release by the company.

The release said, “Anant takes on the new role from his previous role as Vice Chairperson succeeding Krishnan Ramanujam, President, Business and Technology Services Tata Consultancy Services, who served as Chairperson for the year 2022-23.”

Along with that the executive council for the years 2023-25 was also announced. According to the new executive council, targeted efforts and activities would help India’s digital sector take the lead on the international stage. One-third of the executive council members are female business executives.

Under the leadership of President Debjani Ghosh the newly chosen leadership will guide the sector in achieving its many goals in order to realise the IT industry’s target of $500 billion by 2030.
