New Delhi (India), 19th May 2023: Rajinikanth on Thursday announced that former Indian team captain Kapil Dev will be appearing in Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s upcoming film ‘Lal Salaam’. Kapil will be making a cameo in the movie.
Rajinikanth shared the photograph of the two men conversing and announced the news from his official Twitter account.
Expressing his gratitude he wrote, “It is my honour and privilege working with the Legendary, most respected and wonderful human being Kapildevji, who made India proud winning for the first time ever…Cricket World Cup!!! #lalsalaam#therealkapildev”
Kapil Dev also shared the news on his Instagram stories. He posted a picture with Rajinikanth and said, “An honour and privilege to be with the great man.”
Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth play the key roles in Lal Salaam. Music will be given by Oscar winner AR Rahman, editing by Pravin Baaskar, and cinematography by Vishnu Rangasamy. While it will be directed by Rajinikanth’s oldest daughter, Aishwarya.
Rajinikanth will play an extended cameo of ‘Moideen Bhai’. He was last seen in Siva’s ‘Anaatthe’ and his next appearance is anticipated in ‘Jailer’ directed by Nelson.
