Imphal, 31st May 2023: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, met with the highest Manipur state officials including CM N Biren Singh, and his cabinet ministers late evening yesterday.
The leaders have now decided on 5 key decisions that will be implemented across the state as a part of the peace process. All the state authorities have been asked to take strict actions to restore peace and normalcy in the region.
Reports suggest that it has been decided to take necessary action and expedite the relief measures in the state, providing compensation of Rs. 10 lahks to the families of people who died in the clashes and one job to one family member.
The authorities also plan to re-open the BSNL telephone lines to dispel rumours.
These measures are expected to restore the state’s normalcy and do away with the curfews imposed since May 3. The state CM has also hinted at a possible probe into figuring out the roots of the ethnic violence in the state by the authorities at the Central Bureau of Investigation, CBI.
