New Delhi, 07th June 2023: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is all set to hold a meeting with the Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav, amid efforts to garner further support against the Centre’s ordinance on control of services in the national capital.
The Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Singh would accompany him in the meeting that will take place in Lucknow. The national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been reaching out to leaders of non-BJP parties to rally their opposition to the ordinance, so that the Centre’s attempt to replace it through a Bill be defeated when it is introduced in Parliament.
Rajya Sabha member and another AAP representative Sanjay Singh is also likely to accompany Kejriwal at the meeting, an SP leader said without elaborating on the agenda of the meeting.
This comes as the central government had promulgated the ordinance to create an authority for the transfer and posting of Group-A officers in Delhi, that the AAP government is contesting in the Supreme Court.
