New Delhi (India), 11th June 2023: After a rigorous and transparent appraisal process, Adani Group-owned media giant NDTV Ltd announced an income increase across all network verticals on Saturday.

According to NDTV, the “overall salary increase is 11.50%, which is significantly higher than the industry average.”

The increase comes just six months after New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) joined the Adani group.

NDTV said, “The attention was on performance-linked merit appraisals, consistent with industry-best practices designed to ensure that our employees are recognised and compensated based on their performance, promoting an organisation-wide culture of fairness.”

It was underlined that a special emphasis was placed in the process on younger employees, their compensation growth, and creating a career path.

Senthil Chengalvarayan, Executive Director of the NDTV Group, stated that “it is our talented team that will be leading the way” as the company enters the next phase of expansion.

He also said, “They are the primary force behind the success of NDTV and we are happy to recognise their hard work and commitment with this year’s raises. Our aggressive expansion plan, which includes the introduction of regional language platforms and further inroads in digital, will present new opportunities for growth as well as new responsibilities.”

NDTV revealed earlier this year its plans to launch nine news channels in various Indian languages in phases, and its board has accepted a proposal to seek clearance from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Last December, Adani Group took full control of news broadcaster NDTV after acquiring the majority stake of founders Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy at a premium of over 17% over the amount it paid to minority shareholders of the firm.

The Adani Group owns more than 64% of NDTV.
