New Delhi, 9th July 2023: The makers of Oh My God 2 have launched a new video highlighting lead actor Akshay Kumar’s detailed look. Following the release of many posters, the teaser for the film will be released on July 11.
The sequel to the 2012 smash film Oh My God, which starred Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, is titled OMG 2.In the newly released video, Akshay Kumar is seen channelling his inner Shiva while dressed in black and sporting a top hair bun.
His appearance is complemented by curling long hair and kohled eyes with ash smeared on his brow. Akshay is seen strolling through a roaring audience in the footage.”Har Har Mahadev,” the background music, establishes the tone for the picture. The actor shared the video on social media, writing, “#OMG2Teaser out on July 11. #OMG2 in theatres on August 11.”
Aside from Akshay Kumar, the film also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in key roles. The filmmakers had previously issued several posters revealing their characters’ looks in the film.
While the first film, Oh My God, examined the themes of faith and religion, Oh My God 2 will focus on a social issue. Akshay Kumar previously announced in a tweet that the new film is a “honest attempt to talk about an important social issue.”
He further said, “Need your blessings and wishes for #OMG2, our honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue. May the eternal energy of Adiyogi bless us through this journey.”
In terms of box office receipts, OMG 2 is likewise going to be a significant film for Akshay Kumar. His past projects earned tepid reviews from critics and did poorly at the box office. Selfiee, Bachchan Pandey, Ram Setu, and Samrat Prithviraj all performed unsuccessfully at the box office.
