IT Department Seizes ₹24 Lakh Cash During Raid at YouTuber’s Residence in UP

New Delhi, July 17, 2023: The Income Tax Department recently conducted a raid at the house of a YouTuber in Uttar Pradesh and seized ₹24 lakh in cash. The individual under investigation is Taslim, a YouTuber who has been running a successful channel for several years, with earnings totaling nearly ₹1 crore.

According to officials, Taslim is suspected of accumulating wealth through illegal means. However, his family vehemently denies these allegations. Taslim, residing in Bareilly, UP, creates videos related to the share market and claims to pay income tax on his earnings. His brother, Feroze, asserted that Taslim is the manager of the YouTube account ‘Trading Hub 3.0’.

Feroze further clarified that they have already paid ₹4 lakh in taxes on their total YouTube income of ₹1.2 crore. The family maintains that their YouTube channel is a legitimate source of income, and they do not engage in any unlawful activities.

“We do not do any wrong work. We run our YouTube channel, from which we earn a good income; this is the truth. This raid is a well-planned conspiracy,” Feroze stated firmly.

Taslim’s mother also defended her son, asserting that he is being wrongly framed in this situation.

The Income Tax Department’s investigation into Taslim’s financial activities remains ongoing. The raid and seizure of cash have raised questions and concerns about the source and legitimacy of his earnings.
