Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, August 7, 2023: Tragedy struck Sadhobhari village in the Kurebhar area as a 70-year-old man, Magghu Ram, lost his life in a brutal attack over a land dispute on Sunday night. The incident unfolded when Ram had a disagreement with certain individuals regarding his cow’s presence on contested land. This dispute escalated tragically, resulting in a violent assault with sticks that claimed his life.
In a valiant attempt to save his father, Magghu Ram’s son, Vijay, stepped in but was also subjected to the brutal beating. Both victims were swiftly rushed to a nearby hospital, but Magghu Ram succumbed to his injuries. Vijay’s condition has been reported as stable.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting Ram’s nephew, Maniklal, to file an FIR with local authorities. Uttar Pradesh police took swift action, arresting four individuals identified as Amarnath, a teacher; Jawaharlal, Rajwati, and Vishwanath, in connection with the attack.
Praveen Kumar Yadav, the Station House Officer of Kurebhar, confirmed the arrests and stated, “A detailed probe is underway.”
The local authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to uncover all aspects of the case and ensure justice is served. As the community mourns the loss of Magghu Ram and prays for Vijay’s recovery, questions arise about the importance of peaceful coexistence and dispute resolution in these rural areas.
