New Delhi, 10th July 2024: The Rotary Club of the capital city, New Delhi, organized a grand installation ceremony for its new team on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024, at Taj Ambassador, Khan Market. The ceremony marked the induction of Rtn. Neeraj Digani as President, alongside First Lady Deepa Digani, and their dedicated team for the 2024-25 session.
District Governor Rtn. Prashant Raj Sharma graced the occasion as the chief guest, commending the organization’s initiatives and expressing confidence in their future endeavors. He praised the club’s efforts in enhancing children’s education and various skill development centers.
Reflecting on his term, outgoing President Rtn. Munish Verma expressed gratitude for the team’s support throughout the previous year, highlighting achievements in promoting digital literacy, empowering women through sewing initiatives, and addressing local challenges such as flood relief and sanitary pad distribution in Delhi and Noida’s Old Age Homes.
In an interview with Ten News, newly installed President Rtn. Neeraj Digani shared his enthusiasm for serving the city, emphasizing plans to prioritize environmental conservation with a target to plant at least 100,000 trees in the upcoming year. Additionally, the club plans to launch coaching centers and initiate new community projects.
The newly appointed team includes Rtn. Neeraj Digani as President, Rtn. Munish Verma serving as Immediate Past President (IPP), Rtn. Narinder Mohindru as Secretary, Rtn. Sanjeev Singh Yadav as Treasurer, Rtn. CA Ankit Awasthy as Vice President, Rtn. Neha Kalia as Club Learning Facilitator, and Rtn. Brijesh Mathur as Club Foundation Chair.
The installation ceremony underscored Rotary’s commitment to community service and leadership in New Delhi, promising a year of impactful initiatives and collaboration.
