Galgotias University and JP International School’s NCC Cadets participate in Tiranga Yatra

Under the aegis of the 40th Uttar Pradesh NCC Battalion, headquartered in Ghaziabad and located in Sikandrabad, a “Tiranga Yatra” was organized on August 14, 2024, through a cycle rally. Approximately 50 NCC cadets and several other staff members participated with full patriotism and enthusiasm in the “Tiranga Yatra.” Majority of participants were NCC cadets from Galgotias University and J.P. International School. The grand cycle rally for the “Tiranga Yatra” commenced at 8:15 AM from Pari Chowk and proceeded along the Yamuna Expressway, passing through Buddh International Circuit, returning via Expo Mart Roundabout, and finally reached Knowledge Park II, covering about 40 kms where it was concluded.
Riding on bicycles adorned with the tricolor flag, the cadets chanted “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” (Victory to Mother India).
During the closing ceremony, Colonel Ritesh Pal, Commanding Officer of the 40th UP NCC Battalion, encouraged all the cadets, saying that they are the pillars of the nation’s bright future and that the nation always comes first. He emphasized that everyone should be ready to do whatever it takes for the safety, honor, and pride of the nation, and that this should be the resolve taken away from today’s event.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotias, CEO of Galgotias University, conveyed his best wishes to all the cadets, reminding them of the struggles that led to India’s independence. He emphasized the sacrifices made by freedom fighters who, without caring for their own lives, fought to secure freedom for the country. He stressed that their sacrifices should never be forgotten and that while the country is progressing, there is still much to be done.
The event concluded with patriotic slogans and cheers for the nation and group photographs. The district traffic police and district hospital ambulance accompanied the rally throughout. Subedar Major Sitaram Gurjar, Lieutenant Anjana, Caretaker Dushyant Rana, Subedar Devendra Kumar, Subedar Joydev, Havildar Arvind Kumar, Havildar Jasbir Singh, Havildar Pramod Kumar, and Havildar Ankush Kumar were also present.
