Galgotias University proudly hosted the ANVESHAN 2024 North Zone Convention, an initiative by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The event marked a significant milestone in advancing research and higher education in India.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. Dr. Devakanta Pahad Singh was the esteemed Guest of Honour. The convention brought together distinguished delegates and academic experts, who shared their insights on the theme of the event.
Dr. Dinesh Sharma, in his keynote address, highlighted the Indian Government’s vision to transform the education system by 2040. He praised the exceptional performance of Indian students abroad, especially in the USA, and encouraged young minds to aim high, saying, “Your capabilities know no bounds—reach for the skies.”
During the welcome address Chancellor Sunil Galgotia. In his address, he emphasized, “Research is not just a cornerstone of education but also the foundation of national progress. From groundbreaking medical discoveries to technological advancements, research shapes how we live and work. For India, aspiring to be a global leader, the role of research cannot be overstated.”
Dr. Devakanta Pahad Singh, Guest of Honour, inspired the audience, calling young researchers the “powerhouses of innovation” and emphasizing their critical role in driving the economy forward. He remarked, “Today, innovation is merely a spark, but it will ignite through the passion and potential of youth.”
Shashi Bala Singh spoke about the impact of science, technology and innovation in education. Innovation is beyond any gender identity. Students irrespective of gender can excel in the field. Also, added “Science must make the life of a common man easier.
The vote of thanks was delivered by the Registrar of the university, he concluded by mentioning the educational responsibilities which come with an organization. The event motivated the students to become established in the field of research and technology.
