Ministry of Education and Galgotias University Host National Innovation Workshop to Empower School Students
Greater Noida, August 1, 2025 – Galgotias University, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, organized a four-day National Level Exhibition and Innovation Workshop from July 28 to 31, aimed at empowering school students through innovation. Jointly hosted by the Ministry of Education (MoE), the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the MoE’s Innovation Cell, the event celebrated the creativity of school students and educators as they tackled real-world challenges with inventive solutions.
The event opened with an enthusiastic welcome by Sunil Galgotia, Chancellor of Galgotias University, who greeted participants from 46 schools representing states such as Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. In his address, he commended the students’ creativity and expressed gratitude to AICTE and the MoE’s Innovation Cell for selecting Galgotias University as the host institution.
The exhibition featured 39 student-led teams presenting groundbreaking projects across key sectors including healthcare, education, agriculture, sustainability, solar energy, and artificial intelligence. Standout innovations included a Humidifier-cum-Dust Catcher from Radiant Public School, Anantnag, designed to improve classroom air quality, and a Poultry Farm Manure Turning Device from Srirama High School, Kalladka, aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University, emphasized the academic rigor behind the event. “These projects are the result of a meticulous pre-evaluation process and reflect our commitment to fostering research and applied learning,” he noted.
On Day 2, students visited Bharat Mandapam in Delhi, where Hon’ble Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan delivered an inspiring keynote. He encouraged young innovators to embrace collaboration and courage, stating, “Innovation thrives through curiosity and the resolve to tackle the impossible.” Many students described the session as a transformative moment in their innovation journey.
Day 3 brought the focus back to Galgotias University, where students presented their projects to expert mentors and dignitaries. Chief Guest Shri Yogesh Brahmankar hailed the students as “torchbearers of India’s future.” Dr. K Elangovan, Assistant Director of Innovation, announced a significant ₹130 crore investment in India’s school innovation ecosystem, reinforcing the nation’s leadership in nurturing early-stage innovation. Young changemakers like Ranvir Sachdeva and Anoushka Jolly shared personal stories of resilience and creativity, inspiring their peers to view setbacks as stepping stones. The day concluded with a vibrant cultural evening featuring music, dance, and poetry, promoting camaraderie among students from diverse regions.
On the final day, participants visited IIT Delhi and the Prime Ministers’ Museum, gaining insight into India’s technological achievements and visionary leadership. At IIT Delhi, students interacted with researchers and explored cutting-edge labs, while the museum visit offered a powerful reminder of India’s progress and promise.
