ITS Engineering College organizes workshop on “Angel Investment and VC Funding Opportunity for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs”

Greater Noida, 26 August 2025: The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida organized a workshop on “Angel Investment and VC Funding Opportunity for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs” on 26th  August 2025. The session aimed to equip budding entrepreneurs with critical insights into the world of startup funding, investment readiness, and strategies to attract venture capital support.

The workshop commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Mayank Garg, President of IIC-ITSEC and Director of I.T.S Engineering College, who highlighted the institution’s continued commitment towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students. He emphasized the importance of financial literacy, investor connect, and understanding the funding ecosystem for transforming innovative ideas into scalable ventures.

The resource person, Ashish Gupta, CEO & Founder of SWATVAH Pvt. Limited, conducted an insightful session on angel investment and venture capital funding mechanisms. He discussed the critical differences between angel investors and venture capitalists, the expectations of investors, the importance of a strong business model, and the role of due diligence in funding decisions. He also shared his personal entrepreneurial journey and practical examples of how early-stage startups can structure their funding approach to attract investment. Mr. Gupta stressed that entrepreneurs should not only focus on securing funds but also on building sustainable value, credibility, and long-term growth strategies.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Interactive discussions, case examples, and Q&A sessions created a highly engaging learning environment.

The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rajiv Ranjan, Convener of IIC-ITSEC, who acknowledged the valuable insights shared by Ashish Gupta and appreciated the active participation of attendees. The session was a significant step in nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit among students and guiding them towards leveraging investment opportunities for their future ventures.
