ITS College of Pharmacy hosts Orientation Programme for Pharma students

The Orientation Programme for the newly admitted students of D.Pharm, B.Pharm, and M.Pharm was conducted on 18th November, 2025 at I.T.S College of Pharmacy to familiarize students with the institution’s academic environment, professional expectations, and available resources. Arpit Chadha, Vice Chairman, I.T.S – The Education Group, encouraged the students to embrace curiosity, maintain ethical integrity, and participate actively in academic and extracurricular activities.

The programme commenced with lamp lighting and a formal welcome address delivered by Dr. S. Sadish Kumar, Director – Pharmacy. He highlighted that the students have chosen the esteemed profession of pharmacy, the heart of modern healthcare. He assured them that they are committed to offering quality education, real-world exposure, and a supportive community. Before concluding, he appreciated the team of coordinators and volunteers for their splendid efforts to make this event possible.

Surinder Sood, Director PR – I.T.S The Education Group, was honoured to address the gathering in the presence of distinguished experts from the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission and the pharmaceutical industry, whose insights shape both research and its practical implementation. He explained today’s pharmaceutical challenges, particularly drug safety, technological advancement, and the growing impact of AI, which demand continuous learning and adaptability. He encouraged students to cultivate analytical thinking, curiosity, and professional integrity to grow into capable pharmacists, researchers, and leaders of tomorrow.

Dr. M. Kalaivani, Principal Scientific Officer, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, was pleased to join this orientation day and welcomed our new entrants to the pharmacy profession. She asked them to take pride in choosing a field that forms the backbone of the healthcare system, for no treatment is possible without the medicines developed and delivered by pharmacists. She enlightened them with the pearls of knowledge that, as future professionals, their journey must begin with curiosity, discipline, and a commitment to learning beyond the syllabus. She advised students to develop good habits, believe in their abilities, and take challenges as opportunities to grow with a successful academic journey ahead.

Dharmendra Kumar, Senior Manager, Industry Relations, Albert David Ltd. shared that true growth begins with self-discipline, self-learning, and clarity of purpose. He asked the students to decide which kind of learner they want to become: the one who only listens or the one who learns, grows, and adds value. He encouraged the students to lead themselves first, build good habits, and success will naturally follow. He wished them a meaningful learning journey and a bright future ahead.

Satish Gupta, Senior Executive, HR & Admin, Albert David Ltd. highlighted the importance of values as success may come to anyone, but values determine how one carries and sustains that success. He said that success is an event, while values are the continuous process that leads to meaningful achievement. He wished all students a rewarding learning experience and great success ahead.

Moumita Barman, Associate Professor, delivered the insights of the course and job opportunities to the students. Sakshi Chauhan gave a vote of thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the esteemed guests, faculty members, students, and organisers for their presence and contributions. The event was efficiently coordinated by Dr. Raj Kumari, Dean & Professor, Manish Kumar, PDP Trainer, Sakshi Chauhan, Assistant Professor. The program concluded with group photography and the national anthem.
