Greater Noida News (16/02/2026): The Sourcing Professionals Alliance (SPA) was formally launched with great enthusiasm on the opening day of the prestigious Spring Show IHGF DELHI FAIR BY EPCH at India Expo Mart
& Centre . The launch ceremony witnessed an impressive gathering of leading buying agents, international buyers, exporters, and industry stakeholders, marking a significant milestone for the sourcing and buying fraternity in India.

The event was graced by eminent industry leaders including Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director General of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and Chairman , India Expo, Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman EPCH, Avdhesh Agarwal , COA Member EPCH, Vishal Dhingra, Chief Industry Patron and Mentor of SPA, Amul Mehrotra of Ascent International Sourcing, and George Makdessi, Chairman of the Swedish Furniture Federation, who were present on the dais.
The immense contribution of Sanjeev Jain of TQM Global Buying and Tanya Bhatia of Dymak India Services, along with the core team, led to the formation of SPA & was deeply acknowledged by Vishal Dhingra.
In his keynote address, Dr. Rakesh Kumar congratulated SPA and especially appreciated the leadership of Vishal Dhingra for bringing the industry together under a unified professional platform. He emphasized that such an organized body of sourcing professionals is the need of the hour to strengthen India’s export ecosystem and align with the Government of India’s growth vision. He further noted that SPA can play a pivotal role in enhancing India’s global competitiveness in the sourcing and buying domain.
Dr. Neeraj Khanna and other dignitary echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the importance of collaboration among buying agents, exporters, and global buyers. They underscored that SPA will serve as a strong bridge between international demand and India’s manufacturing and handicraft strengths, thereby contributing meaningfully to the country’s export growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Vishal Dhingra shared the vision of SPA to create a structured, transparent, and growth-oriented platform for sourcing professionals across India. He emphasized the Alliance’s commitment to professional excellence, knowledge sharing, ethical sourcing practices, and collective industry advancement.

George Makdessi also conveyed his strong support for the initiative and appreciated India’s growing capabilities in furniture and home sourcing. He noted that closer cooperation between global federations and Indian sourcing professionals would open new avenues for trade and long-term partnerships.
The launch event was attended by over 100 prominent buying agents, international buyers, and exporters from across the country, reflecting the strong industry support and enthusiasm for the newly formed Alliance. The program concluded with an interactive networking session, further reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the initiative.
The grand success of the launch sets a strong foundation for the Sourcing Professionals Alliance as it moves forward to work closely with industry bodies and the Government of India to contribute to the nation’s export growth story.
