New Delhi News (25 February 2026): The cultural heart of the capital is set to come alive once again as Delhi Kala Utsav returns to Mandi House for a vibrant two-day celebration of India’s artistic and cultural heritage. The festival will be held on February 28 and March 1 at Rabindra Bhawan, bringing together a rich blend of traditional and contemporary art forms under one roof.

The event is being organised by Sanskar Bharati, Delhi Prant, in collaboration with the Government of Delhi. This marks the third edition of Delhi Kala Utsav at Mandi House, a venue synonymous with performing arts and cultural expression. Previous editions of the festival have drawn widespread appreciation from audiences and the art fraternity alike, with the participation of several eminent artists and cultural personalities.

Delhi Kala Utsav is conceived as a platform dedicated to the preservation, promotion and celebration of India’s diverse artistic traditions. Alongside performances by established and well-known artists, the festival places special emphasis on encouraging young and emerging talent, offering them a meaningful opportunity to showcase their skills before a wider audience.

Over the two days, visitors can expect an engaging array of cultural offerings, including classical and folk dance performances, instrumental and vocal music concerts, theatre presentations, poetry recitals, as well as exhibitions of painting and sculpture. The festival will also showcase traditional art forms through live demonstrations and interactive experiences such as puppetry, bioscope shows, pottery-making, lacquer bangle crafts, Bahurupiya performances, folk music and dance, magic shows and curated book stalls.

A major attraction of this year’s edition will be the specially curated food section featuring the traditional cuisine of Delhi-6. Visitors will be able to savour authentic Old Delhi flavours at nominal prices, recreating the city’s historic culinary heritage. This cultural food experience has been a highlight of previous editions and is expected to draw large crowds once again.

The festival will run daily from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, creating an immersive cultural environment in the days leading up to Holi. Designed for families, students, art enthusiasts and the general public, Delhi Kala Utsav promises an accessible and lively celebration of India’s colours, sounds and traditions in the heart of the capital.
