Greater Noida Metro shaves 1.5 km, to save Rs 150 crore
The newly formed Noida Metro Rail Company on Wednesday finalized the route alignment of the Noida-Greater Noida Metro link. In a meeting with officials of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, all roadblocks in the link were removed to put it on fast track.
Officials said the route has been shortened by about 1.5 km, reducing the project cost by Rs 150 crore as well. Work on the link, being monitored daily by Rama Raman, chairperson and CEO of GB Nagar’s three administrations, is expected to start by March 2015 and completed by June 2017.
