New Delhi News (20 May 2026): Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Neelam Shami Rao on Tuesday launched the official mobile application for Bharat Tex 2026, introducing a unified digital platform aimed at transforming the experience of exhibitors, buyers, delegates and visitors at India’s largest global textile event. The event was also graced by the presence of Co Chairmen, BTTF Bhadresh Dodhia and Dr. Rakesh Kumar (Chairmen, India Expo Mart) who is also a Core Committee Member of Bharat Tex 2026.

The Bharat Tex 2026 App has been designed as a comprehensive digital companion for the four-day textile mega event scheduled from July 14 to 17, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. The app will offer seamless event navigation, exhibitor discovery, B2B networking, AI-powered assistance, digital badges, lead capture and real-time updates through a single interface.

Speaking during the launch, officials said the app reflects the event’s “digital-first” approach and is expected to significantly strengthen business matchmaking, improve attendee engagement and support data-driven interactions during the international textile expo.

One of the major highlights of the app is its AI Smart Assistant, a 24×7 conversational guide that will help users with venue directions, schedules, exhibitor information and other event-related queries in a simple and user-friendly manner. The feature is expected to support both domestic and international participants.

The platform will also facilitate structured business networking by enabling exhibitors, buyers and delegates to discover relevant partners, schedule meetings, manage meeting requests and track confirmed interactions. Through QR-based lead capture and digital badges, exhibitors will be able to store and manage visitor details for post-event follow-up.

To improve visitor convenience, the app will provide advanced navigation and wayfinding support across Bharat Mandapam, including floor maps, booth search and stall-level directions.

Global buyers and trade visitors will also benefit from an exhibitor discovery feature, allowing users to search companies by name, category and exhibitor type for targeted sourcing across the textile value chain.

The app further includes access to live conference schedules and knowledge sessions, enabling participants to create personalised agendas and receive session alerts during the event.

Bharat Tex Trade Federation, a consortium of 11 textile Export Promotion Councils and industry bodies, is organising Bharat Tex 2026 with support from the Ministry of Textiles. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 5F vision — Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign — the event aims to position India as a sustainable and innovation-driven global textile sourcing hub.

Bharat Tex 2026 is expected to attract over 7,000 international buyers and more than 1.3 lakh trade visitors from across the global textile ecosystem. The expo will showcase India’s integrated textile value chain, including fibres, yarns, fabrics, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, handlooms, handicrafts and sustainable textile technologies.
