New Delhi/Lucknow, May 31, 2026: In a significant step towards promoting India’s defence and aerospace ecosystem, Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Expo Centre & Mart, and Sudeep Sarcar, CEO of the organization, met Rajnath Singh, India’s Defence Minister, to discuss the organization of a major Defence Show in Lucknow.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the IMS team from Bengaluru and Lucknow. Discussions focused on the potential framework, objectives, and opportunities associated with hosting a large-scale defence exhibition in Uttar Pradesh’s capital city.

The proposed Defence Show is expected to showcase India’s growing capabilities in defence manufacturing, aerospace technology, military innovation, and indigenous defence solutions under the Government of India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. The event could bring together defence manufacturers, technology companies, startups, policymakers, armed forces representatives, and global industry stakeholders on a common platform.
Lucknow has emerged as an important hub within the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, making it a strategic location for hosting a defence-focused exhibition. Industry experts believe that such an event would further strengthen investment opportunities, technological collaboration, and business partnerships in the defence sector.
