Dr. Vikas Singh Memorial Foundation Launched; Water Purification Facility Dedicated at Shri Dudheshwarnath Mandir

Ghaziabad News (08 June 2026): The legacy of late Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Singh, a distinguished educationist and visionary academic leader, was commemorated through the launch of the Dr. Vikas Singh Memorial Foundation and the inauguration of a public drinking water facility at the historic Shri Dudheshwarnath Mahadev Mandir in Ghaziabad.

The initiatives were organized on the occasion of Dr. Singh’s first birth anniversary following his passing on October 19, 2025. Family members, devotees, community leaders, and well-wishers gathered to pay tribute to his life, achievements, and enduring contribution to education and society.

The day began with traditional religious ceremonies led by Shri Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj, Peethadheeshwar of Shri Dudheshwarnath Math Mahadev Mandir, International Spokesperson of Juna Akhada, National President of Delhi Sant Mahamandal, and President of the 13 Madhi of Juna Akhada. The Mahant performed special prayers and sacred abhishek of Lord Dudheshwarnath Mahadev and offered worship to the deities and revered Guru idols within the temple premises. He also participated in Gau Seva as part of the spiritual observances.

Following the religious rituals, Shri Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj formally inaugurated a newly installed Water Cooler and RO Water Purification System in the temple complex. The facility was dedicated by Dr. Satyapal Singh along with his grandsons, Uddhav Vikas Singh Sheoran and Shikhar Vikas Singh Sheoran, through the newly established Dr. Vikas Singh Memorial Foundation. The initiative aims to provide devotees with access to clean and chilled drinking water throughout the year.

Addressing the gathering, Mahant Narayan Giri Maharaj praised the Singh family for its longstanding commitment to religious service, social welfare, and humanitarian causes. He described Dr. Vikas Singh as a spiritually inclined and compassionate individual whose life reflected the values of faith, service, and dedication to society. According to the Mahant, Dr. Singh inspired countless individuals through his teachings, leadership, and adherence to the principles of the Bhagavad Gita.

He further noted that the establishment of the Dr. Vikas Singh Memorial Foundation reflects the family’s determination to continue Dr. Singh’s vision and unfinished mission of serving society. The Foundation, he said, would serve as a platform for educational advancement, charitable activities, and community welfare initiatives in the years ahead.

The Mahant also highlighted the philanthropic efforts of Dr. Satyapal Singh, who regularly offers free homeopathic consultations and medicines to devotees at Shri Dudheshwarnath Math Mahadev Mandir every Monday and Friday. He extended his blessings to the family and expressed hope that they would continue their service-oriented work under the guidance of Lord Dudheshwarnath Mahadev.

To mark the occasion, the family also organized a large community Bhandara, serving meals to hundreds of devotees and local residents. The event was held as a tribute to Dr. Vikas Singh’s lifelong commitment to education, public service, and human welfare.

Remembering his remarkable contributions, family members recalled that Dr. Vikas Singh was regarded as one of India’s most respected higher education leaders and among the youngest Vice-Chancellors in the country. With more than 27 years of experience in academia and educational administration, he played a transformative role in shaping institutions and mentoring future generations of students and educators.

Over the course of his distinguished career, Dr. Singh held several prestigious leadership positions, including Founder Vice-Chancellor of Geeta University, Panipat. He also served as Vice-Chancellor of ITM University, Naya Raipur, Executive Director of ITS – The Education Group, Academic Director at Amity University, Campus Director of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, and Director General of Trident Group of Institutions.

Widely recognized for his expertise in educational reforms and policy implementation, Dr. Singh contributed significantly to institutional development and innovation in higher education. Under his leadership, educational institutions achieved notable milestones, including national recognition for promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.

Beyond administration, Dr. Singh earned acclaim as an author, TEDx speaker, mentor, and thought leader. His book, Paper to Screen – The Future of Education, became an Amazon Kindle bestseller and received widespread appreciation for its insights into the future of learning in the digital age. Through his writings, lectures, and academic leadership, he inspired thousands of students, scholars, and educators across India and abroad.

Speaking at the launch, family members stated that the Dr. Vikas Singh Memorial Foundation has been established to preserve and advance his vision of educational excellence, innovation, social responsibility, and nation-building. They emphasized that the Foundation will undertake a range of educational, charitable, healthcare, and community development initiatives aimed at creating a lasting positive impact on society.

The commemorative event concluded with prayers, community service activities, and a renewed pledge by family members and supporters to uphold the values championed by Dr. Vikas Singh. Attendees described the occasion as a fitting tribute to a visionary educator whose contributions to academia and society continue to inspire generations.
