Shruhad Goswami shares an interesting anecdote after ‘Laalo’ crossed the Rs.100 cr mark

Mumbai, July 14 (IANS) Actor Shruhad Goswami, director Ankit Sakhiya and producer Jay Vyas have spoken about the phenomenal success “Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayate”, its making, and the profound spiritual philosophy that resonated with audiences across the country.

The three were on Shekhar Tonite, where the chat show host Shekhar Suman posed an intriguing question asking: “Why does Lord Krishna choose to appear only for Laalo and not for any other character in the film?”

Director Ankit Sakhiya explained, “Do cheezein hai ki Laalo jo character hai usme bohot innocence tha. Abhi woh fass gaya tha, thodi buri sangat me chala gaya tha, aur Laalo ki jo patni thi, Tulsi, unko vishwas tha ki mera Laalo firse aayega…woh chori karne jata hai ek farm house pe aur wahan pe woh fass jata hai.”

“Toh Krishna Bhagwan aate hai, usko samjhate hai aur aate hai uski wife ke liye kyuki uski shraddha thi ki mujhe mera pati chahiye aur usko ek aastha thi. Toh woh aa ke usse nikaalte nahi hai, usse samjhate hai ki tujhe khud hi nikalna padega aur Laalo khud hi uss farm house se nikalta hai. Toh uski nek aur saaf soch thi, isiliye uske paas aaye.”

(There were two things about Laalo’s character—he was incredibly innocent. He had gone astray and fallen into bad company, but his wife, Tulsi, always believed that her Laalo would find his way back. One day, Laalo goes to steal from a farmhouse, but ends up getting trapped there. That’s when Lord Krishna appears and guides him.)”

“(He comes because of Tulsi’s unwavering faith—she only wanted her husband back and had complete devotion. However, Krishna doesn’t rescue Laalo himself. Instead, He teaches him that he must find his own way out. Laalo eventually escapes the farmhouse on his own. It was because of his pure heart and good intentions that Lord Krishna came to guide him.)

Talking about why Lord Krishna comes to someone, Shruhad recalled an unforgettable interaction with a viewer after the film had crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark.

“Film ne 100 cr kar diye the. Uske baad bhi hum sab logo ko jaa ke thank you bol rahe the. Toh ussi douran ek insaan humko mile the. Mujhe toh woh dimag mein ghar kar gayi woh ek baat ki, ‘Krishna kab humein darshan dete hai. Aisa nahi ki aap unke mandir jao ya unko bhog lagao. Krishna tab hi aapko darshan denge jab aap unko karm ka bhog lagaoge. Jab aap sacchi nishtha se apna kaam karte rahoge toh Krishna Bhagwan aayenge.’.”

“(The film had crossed Rs. 100 crore. Even after that, all of us were personally going around thanking people. During that time, we met someone whose words stayed with me forever. They said, ‘Lord Krishna doesn’t bless you simply because you visit His temple or offer Him food. Krishna reveals Himself only when you offer Him the fruits of your work. If you keep doing your work with complete sincerity and devotion, then Lord Krishna will come to you.)”
