Fresh ideas, new energy of youth invaluable to us: Raj CM

Jaipur, July 28 (IANS) Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the Rajasthan Government stands firmly with the youth in helping them realise their dreams, from education and sports to employment and self-employment.

He stated that the State’s ‘double-engine’ government is creating a brighter future for young people through decisive action against paper leaks, record government recruitment drives, promotion of startups, and enhanced skill development initiatives.

Interacting with youth during the ‘Sapno ki Udaan’ programme held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday, Sharma said that thoughtful, disciplined, and value-driven youth form the foundation of a Developed India and a Developed Rajasthan.

He observed that young people are full of fresh ideas and new energy, and that the government actively engages with them, incorporating their valuable suggestions into the State Budget.

Such interactions, he said, are essential for further improving government schemes, programmes, and policies, and the State Government is shaping its future plans based on the aspirations and recommendations of the youth.

The Chief Minister remarked that parents are a child’s first mentors. He urged young people to imbibe the values of dedication, hard work, discipline, and integrity from their parents and pursue their dreams with confidence.

He emphasised that the potential of Rajasthan’s youth is limitless and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring that every young person receives opportunities, recognition, and a platform to showcase their talent in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed nation.

Sharma said that during the past two and a half years, the State Government has fulfilled the aspirations of more than 1.78 lakh young people by providing government employment. Recruitment is currently underway for approximately 51,000 posts, while more than 80,000 vacancies have been included in the recruitment calendar.

Preparations are also in progress to recruit for an additional 70,000 posts. Besides this, around 4.5 lakh employment opportunities have been generated in the private sector.

The Chief Minister said the government has adopted a zero-tolerance approach towards paper leaks by strengthening laws and ensuring transparent and secure recruitment processes.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted to investigate paper leak cases, leading to the arrest of 569 individuals involved in paper leaks and related irregularities.

He added that the government has successfully conducted 410 examinations without any paper leak. He further stated that the government is actively promoting entrepreneurship and self-employment so that Rajasthan’s youth become job creators rather than merely job seekers.

Under the Rajasthan Startup Programme, 4,623 startups have been registered so far, while 1,062 startups have received financial assistance amounting to ₹34 crore under the iStart Fund. Nine startup programmes have been completed with the participation of 988 startups.

The State Government has also introduced the State Skill Policy-2025 and the Youth Policy.

Highlighting Rajasthan’s growing prominence in sports, Sharma said that the State Government is strengthening sports infrastructure, establishing academies, encouraging emerging talent, and providing improved facilities for athletes.

He noted that the Rajasthan Target Olympic Podium Scheme is being implemented across the State, while Rajasthan is also hosting the Khelo India University Games. In addition, 17 new Khelo India Centres are being established, and residential sports academies have been set up at 41 district headquarters.

During the programme, the Chief Minister interacted with youth associated with education, sports, startups, My Bharat, and competitive examination preparation. He enquired about their achievements, aspirations, and future plans.

On the occasion, he also launched the Sapno ki Udaan Logo Design Competition. The participants enthusiastically interacted with the Chief Minister, posed for group photographs, and requested selfies, which he readily obliged. The event was attended by Law and Justice Minister Jogaram Patel, students, athletes, young professionals, Sambal Sakhi volunteers, NCC cadets, and NSS volunteers.

During the interaction, Upalaksh Goyal, who secured All India Rank 3 in the NEET examination, said that hard work, dedication, discipline, and the guidance of parents and teachers inevitably lead to success.

My Bharat volunteer Swaroopdan Charan said that the My Bharat portal is playing a significant role in enhancing the skills and capabilities of young people and encouraged every youth to become part of the initiative.

Postgraduate student Rashika Sharma thanked the Chief Minister for the government’s scholarship schemes, stating that they are enabling young people to pursue research and explore new fields of knowledge.

B.Sc. student Rekha praised the government’s decisive action against paper leaks and appreciated the transparent and fair conduct of recruitment examinations in the State.
