Greater Noida News (17/10/2026): The 62nd IHGF Delhi Fair–Autumn 2026, held at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida, brought together exporters, manufacturers and international buyers to explore new products, emerging designs and business opportunities in the handicrafts sector. During the fair, Sagar Mehta, Vice Chairman of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and owner of QTL Export House, spoke to Ten News Network about his company’s product range, buyer response and the future of the handicrafts export industry.

Mehta said QTL Export House showcased fashion jewellery and bags, with a particular focus on beads, raffia bags and natural materials for its summer collection. He noted that products made from natural materials were receiving a positive response from buyers and expressed satisfaction with the initial business response at the fair.

Discussing the industry’s current business environment, Mehta acknowledged that global economic challenges and trade tensions had affected the sector. However, he highlighted the entry of new companies and buyers into the market as an encouraging development. According to him, the younger generation is introducing new approaches to product marketing and sales, creating fresh opportunities for the handicrafts industry.

Mehta also highlighted EPCH’s continued efforts to connect Indian exporters with new buyers, organise trade exhibitions and familiarise businesses with evolving fashion trends. He said the council supports exporters across various stages of the business, from product design to production, helping them adapt to changing market demands and remain competitive in international markets.

Encouraging exporters and buyers who could not attend the current edition, Mehta urged them to participate in upcoming editions of the IHGF Delhi Fair. He observed that slower business periods often encourage companies to invest more effort in developing creative, innovative and distinctive products that can help them stand out in competitive markets.

Appreciating the India Expo Centre & Mart, Mehta described the venue as well-planned and well-organised, highlighting its infrastructure and longstanding association with EPCH and the handicrafts industry.

Expressing confidence in the sector’s prospects, Mehta said the participation of new buyers, changing consumer preferences and continued innovation could contribute to the industry’s growth. He expressed optimism that future editions of the IHGF Delhi Fair would create further business opportunities and strengthen connections between Indian exporters and international buyers.
