HM Amit Shah inaugurates UP BJP executive committee meeting in Lucknow

Lucknow, Oct 30 (IANS) Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the BJP’s state executive committee meeting shortly after arriving in Lucknow on Friday.

At the meeting of the state executive committee of Uttar Pradesh BJP, the party is expected to review organisational work and advance the action plan for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

At the state executive committee meeting, held in the auditorium of the Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, HM Shah is set to provide guidance on the electoral strategy to party leaders and workers.

Those attending the high-profile meeting include Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State President Pankaj Chaudhary, State General Secretary (Organisation) Dharampal Singh, State in charge Vinod Tawde, and Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.

The proceedings began with the ceremonial lighting of a lamp. A palpable sense of enthusiasm was evident among all the BJP leaders, ahead of the Home Minister’s arrival.

BJP’s state president, Pankaj Chaudhary, stated that the party would benefit from Amit Shah’s guidance, adding that all party workers would enter the field with renewed vigour to achieve the goals for 2027.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya noted that this is the first meeting of the state executive committee under the leadership of Pankaj Chaudhary following the formation of the new state organisational structure.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak remarked that Home Minister Amit Shah’s address to party workers will infuse fresh energy into the party’s organisational structure, including its rank and file.

Taking a dig at Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav, Pathak asserted that the SP should harbour no illusions; the people of Uttar Pradesh stand with the BJP, and the party is poised to secure an overwhelming majority in the 2027 Assembly elections.

Amit Shah, widely regarded as the BJP’s key organisational and electoral strategist, is likely to review the current state of the organisation and provide guidance on several fronts: formulating a strategy to build the party’s connect with the grassroots, chalking out a public outreach plan and also outlining detailed framework of the party’s electoral campaign.

The meeting is expected to focus, in particular, on the BJP’s electoral strategy vis-à-vis the Samajwadi Party and other Opposition parties, and on how to counter their agenda.

The concluding session of the meeting will be addressed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Earlier, Amit Shah arrived at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport and was welcomed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State President Pankaj Chaudhary, and Deputy CMs Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.
