E-way drivers at risk as thousands of trucks operate without licence plates

The authorities in the National Capital are up against a major potential danger to the public safety. This threat does not come from a terror outfit or from local gangs, but from the unchecked operation of trucks on the Gurgaon–Faridabad Toll Road, in blatant violation of the law. The operator of the toll road claims as many as 1,500 to
2,000 trucks without number plates have a free run along the expressway every day, posing a grave risk to public safety and security.
