Stink rises in Loni’s Ankur Vihar as overflowing muck floods roads

The 30,000-old residents of DLF Ankur Vihar, a residential colony in Loni, are living in civic misery. Despite repeated complaints to civic authorities, they say no serious attempts have been made to build a sewerage system in the area for years and filthy water has filled up vacant plots and roads.

The residents claim to have even written to UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, but their fight for a basic amenity like a proper sewer line in the area has yielded no result.
