BJYM’s massive Protest against Rahul, Congress doublespeak

The activists of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today held a strong protest against doublespeak of Rahul Gandhi and Congress Party on the issue of corruption led by their president Sh. Anurag Thakur, MP.  The activists of BJYM marched to the residence of Rahul Gandhi demanding the resignation of Himachal CM on graft charges. They were carrying placards and raised slogans demanding immediate resignation of Mr Virbhadra Singh who is involved in yet another serious graft charge alongwith his MP Wife.

Thousands of BJYM activists had gathered outside Rahul Gandhi’s residence demanding Virbhadra Singh’s resignation. These protestors were lathi-charged and water-cannons was used on them in this bitter cold weather. Thereafter, thousand of BJYM activists along with BJYM National President Sh. Anurag Singh Thakur were detained till late afternoon at Tuglak Road Police Station. The protest got quite heated-up as M.P. and BJYM National President Sh. Thakur was also lathi-charged without due notice.

Sh. Anurag Thakur, MP later informed the media persons that it is an open and shut case of corruption and has exposed the congress’s double speak on corruption. On the one hand Rahul Gandhi and his party wants to claim the credit for passage of Lok Pal Bill whereas they continue with a corrupt chief Minister in H.P .It is not the first time that Mr. Virbhadra Singh is involved in a corruption case. Infact, CBI has to submit a status report in another corruption case by Feb, 2014 in the Delhi High Court, he informed.  “Congress can’t take any credit for passing acts in the Parliament without any credible action in such blatant and crystal clear corruption case. Infact, as per documents sent to the Prime Minister this matter doesn’t even need any investigation. The CM must resign immediately’. ”he asserted.

He further demanded the resignation of his wife MP Mrs. Pratibha Singh who also allegedly took crores of rupees from one investor Vakamulla Chander Shekhar and bought shares in his another company. It is alleged that Mr. Virbhadra Singh’s son who is also the Youth Congress Chief in HP also took crores of rupees from the same individual.

It is also pertinent to mention here that all these details were concealed in the election affidavit filed by Mr. Virbhadra Singh during the last year’s Assembly elections. Also, Mrs. Pratibha Singh made no mention of 3.4 lakh shares held by her in this company in her election affidavit whereas she mentioned 2110 shares in some other unlisted company. Both her children hold 3.4 lakh and 3 lakh shares in the same company promoted by the same person favoured by Virbhadra Singh.

Anurag Thakur also alleged that the Chief Minister is hiding this graft money under the garb of unsecured loan whereas he himself had 10 crores rupees in his bank accounts and Mr. Vakamulla Chandershekhar’s company has taken a loan of 35 crores from bank. As per the audit report of the company for the year 2012,the company has defaulted for the loan repayment of about Rs 4.65 crores. He demanded immediate resignation of the C.M. and his MP wife and asked CBI to immediately lodge FIR in the case.
