SC directs #DMRC to consider Gammon financial bids for upcoming metro lines

New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has to reconsider construction company Gammon India Ltd’s financial bid for the Ghaziabad metro line, the Supreme Court directed on Thursday. Gammon had moved the court after the Delhi high court on 15 April rejected the company’s plea seeking reconsideration of its bid. The DMRC had awarded the Rs.665-crore project to GYT-TPL, a joint venture of Tata Projects Ltd and Guangdong Yuantian Engineering Co. of China, which are also parties to the case. Gammon had told the court that its financial bid, which was not opened, was about Rs.26 crore lower than GYT-TPL’s.
