Govt to SC: Committed to block child porn, but can’t ban adult sites
NEW DELHI: In the time when the Prime Minister is pushing for digital empowerment of citizens, the government can’t turn into totalitarian state by banning all types of porn sites, the Centre today told the Supreme Court.
Attorney general Mukul Rohatgi told a bench headed by chief justice HL Dattu that the government is committed to block websites of child pornography but said that adult pornography sites can’t be banned in the country.
