AAP announces State Campaign Committee in Andhra Pradesh

AamAadmi Party announces the formation of Andhra Pradesh State Campaign Committee with Sri B. Ramakrishna Raju as the Convenor, to coordinate and lead the party in the state for the purpose of fighting the upcoming elections. The Campaign Committee will coordinate and oversee all AAP activities in the state until elections. The Committee may be expanded in the future as needed.

The members of the Andhra Pradesh Campaign Committee are as follows:
• Convenor: B. Ramakrishna Raju, eminent anti-corruption and RTI activist involved in many people’s movements, former national convenor of National Alliance of People’s Movements (NAPM), convenor of United Forum for RTI, Andhra Pradesh
• R.Venkat Reddy, educationist and social activist, national convenor of M.V. Foundation which has done seminal work on child labour
• Dr. Jasveen Jairath, convenor of SOUL (Save Our Urban Lakes), actively involved in civic and rights campaigns in Hyderabad including Basti Vikas Manch
• Kirankumar Vissa, social activist and expert on farmers’ issues, former convenor, Rythu Swarajya Vedika, former national Convenor, ASHA network, coordinated international volunteer movement of NRIs for more than 15 years.
• Syed Bilal, activist with Street Hawkers Federation and Human Rights Forum in Hyderabad, worked on civic issues in bastis of Hyderabad including displacement, slums and livelihoods
• Vijay Kumar, grassroots dalit activist; worked with farmers, rural and environmental issues for 20 years, experienced campaigner, trainer and cultural artiste.
• Ravi Chandra, High Court advocate, appointed Advocate Commissioner by A.P. State Minorities Commission, very active in supporting civic and rights issues.

Aam Aadmi Party has generated enormous interest and support across all districts of Andhra Pradesh. The party is confident of making a huge impact in the upcoming elections.
