New Delhi, 06/07/2023: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced its intention to reject the Centre’s ordinance on service regulation in Delhi. According to a statement made by the party, effigies and copies of the “black ordinance” would be burned in various spots, streets, and crossroads around Delhi from July 6 to July 13 as a show of anger. The protest is intended to serve as a forceful reminder of the public’s displeasure with the ordinance.
Workers from the Aam Aadmi Party protested in Delhi in response to the Centre’s rule governing the control of services in the city. Protesters from the AAP demanded that the ordinance be repealed immediately.
According to a statement published by the AAP on Wednesday, AAP MLAs and workers took to the streets at 6 p.m. to oppose the central government’s ordinance. The party expressed firm opposition and asked that the ordinance be repealed immediately.
Initially, the AAP called off the protest after approaching the Supreme Court, claiming it was still under consideration. However, the party suddenly resurrected the protest without providing an explanation. Following a week-long demonstration against the Centre’s ordinance, police have been deployed, and security has been increased.
